Description

PPG Aerospace PR1425CF is a fast-curing, chrome-free, two-part polysulfide aircraft sealant designed specifically for sealing aircraft windshields, canopies, and transparencies. It provides outstanding adhesion to properly prepared glass, acrylic, and polycarbonate surfaces while being specially formulated to prevent crazing or damage to sensitive transparency materials.

PR1425CF is widely used by commercial airlines, business aviation maintenance facilities, military organizations, OEM manufacturers, and MRO shops for installing and repairing aircraft windshields and canopies. Once cured, the sealant delivers a durable, weather-resistant seal that withstands UV exposure, moisture, vibration, hydraulic fluids, and extreme operating temperatures from -65°F to 250°F, with intermittent exposure up to 275°F.

The low-sag, thixotropic consistency allows for clean application using an extrusion gun or spatula, making it ideal for vertical and overhead sealing applications. Its fast cure time helps reduce aircraft downtime while providing a long-lasting, flexible seal that maintains its performance in demanding aerospace environments.
