Description
3M General Purpose Cut-off Wheels are durable, fast-cutting and feature high cut rates and a long life. Suitable for cutting nearly any material, including fiberglass, stainless steel, and mild steel to produce precise cuts with minimal material loss. 3" Diameter, use with utility type cut-off tools. Choose from 1/16" or 1/32" thick.

Features
Common aircraft maintenance applications include:
- Removing damaged hardware
- Cut seized or damaged bolts, screws, rivets and fasteners that cannot be removed using conventional methods.
- Remove corroded clamps or retaining hardware during maintenance.
- Fabricating metal parts
- Cut aluminum, stainless steel, or mild steel stock to rough dimensions when manufacturing brackets, doublers, shims or support components in accordance with approved engineering data.
- Trim sheet metal before final fitting and finishing.
- Structural repair preparation
- Remove damaged sections of sheet metal or non-structural components prior to installing repair patches or replacement parts.
- Cut away cracked or distorted material as specified in the aircraft's Structural Repair Manual (SRM).
- Exhaust and tubing work
- Cut exhaust tubing, clamps or brackets during repair or replacement.
- Trim metal tubing or fabricated supports before installation.
- Interior and equipment modifications
- Remove metal brackets, mounting hardware or supports during avionics installations or interior modifications when permitted by approved maintenance procedures.
