Two-Part Aircraft Sealant - Class A and Class B

Choose from Chemseal Flamemaster or PPG/PRC De-Soto brand aircraft sealants.  Two-part sealants are available in pints and 6 or 2.5 oz Semkits.  Pints allow you to weigh and mix only what you need for a particular job and store the leftover material.  Semkits are plastic tubes containing both parts pre-measured and ready to mix. A third option is the pre-measured DAB-kit system, designed to save time on small jobs.

While BAC stocks the most popular sealants and sizes, some of those listed are special order only due to low demand and limited shelf life.  Special order sealants typically have a 3-6 week lead time.  There is a helpful cross-reference chart located in the Resources tab on the homepage of the website. If you do not see your sealant listed, please call us at 888-239-6625.

Two-part sealants are widely used in aircraft maintenance to create durable, airtight, and watertight seals critical for maintaining the structural integrity and performance of an aircraft. These sealants consist of a base compound and a curing agent, which are mixed prior to application to initiate a chemical reaction that forms a strong, flexible bond. Two-part sealants are commonly used in applications such as sealing fuel tanks, pressurized cabins, and external joints to prevent corrosion, leakage, and environmental damage. Proper mixing ratios and application techniques are essential to ensure the sealant performs as intended. Specialized tools, such as pneumatic sealant guns and precision applicators, are often used to achieve clean and even coverage. Maintenance technicians must also follow curing times and environmental guidelines outlined by the sealant manufacturer to ensure optimal adhesion and durability. The versatility and reliability of two-part sealants make them indispensable in meeting the stringent demands of aviation maintenance.
